to Good Witch.
My favorite shows incorporate ghost, vampires, witches, wolves, zombies and or murder so I wasn’t really surprised when Netflix suggested Good Witch.
Cassie Nightingale (Catherine Bell), Middleton’s favorite enchantress, and her young-teenage daughter Grace (Bailee Madison), who shares that same special intuition as her mom, welcome Dr. Sam Radford (James Denton) and his son to town. When the New York transplants move in next to the Grey House, they are immediately spellbound by the mother-daughter duo next door, but Sam and Cassie quickly find they may not see eye to eye. With her signature charm, Cassie attempts to bring everyone together, ensuring all of Middleton is in for new changes, big surprises and, of course, a little bit of magic!
My first attempt at watching this show was unsuccessful, I slept through 3 episodes. I tried again last week and became obsessed. I finished the first season in less than a week. After not being able to locate season 2 for free, I bought it at 1AM on October 12th (which was my birthday). It’s only a couple of days later and I am nearly done with the season and anxious for season 3.
Let’s try to identify the things that may be drawing me in.
Maybe it’s the intro music. Doesn’t it make you want to turn up and or turn down for what?
Maybe it’s because I want to be Cassie. Her intuition is on fleek and the whole town loves her opposed to everyone hating me or is it that I hate everyone? I tend to forget. Anyway, shes always mixing oils and teas to help people with their issues and gives a lot of it away for FREE. How does she make any money? If I had witchly powers, I would use it to do petty stuff like remove the edges and eyebrows from people I don’t like, become wealthy and have my dissertation magically written, completed and defended.
Maybe it’s because she has super obedient children; especially, Grace. And she’s a teenager! Got damn you Grace, get in trouble!
Don’t get me started on all of the town’s most eligible bachelors being in love with her but she isn’t over her husband’s death.
However, I do find solace in the fact that her cousin is a bit of an a**hole. Anywho, season 3 will premiere next week and I am hoping they will take it up a notch. Maybe she will kill all the men interested in her and serve them in a meal at her B&B (yeah she has a store and B&B, she’s a hustler). This show is great for people who do Holyween and Harvest Festivals opposed to Halloween. For more, visit Hallmark (I can’t believe I just suggested the Hallmark Channel…).
Side note: I just found out there are Good Witch movies that precede the TV Series *spends all of my money to rent all of them*
