During one of many trips to Sephora, I spoke to their Skincare Expert about a host of things and also mentioned why I stopped wearing foundation for the summer (because the foundation kept sliding off my face).
Note: This is when she complimented me on my skin and called another consultant over who also complimented me on my skin 🙂
Anyway, she talked about another Sephora employee who had the exact same issue and guess what? We use the same moisturizer (plot twist). So, she did what any fairy godmother would do, she gave me samples of Caudalie’s Vinosource Moisturizing Mattifying Fluid:
This deeply hydrating yet weightless fluid features an instant mattifying effect and long-lasting oil-control action. Powered by Caudalie’s organic grape water, this fluid reactivates skin’s hydration mechanisms and replenishes its water reserves, leaving the skin moisturized to perfection. It’s formulated with Vinolevure® to strengthen skin over time to become less sensitive and more resilient, along with flax seed powder for an immediate and long term mattifying action. The skin’s balance is restored for a refined, velvety complexion.
I’ve been using it for approximately 2 weeks but haven’t tried it with foundation. I like the formula, it does a better job mattifying then my previous moisturizers, and works well with my primer (which usually flaked with my previous moisturizers).
Have I found the one? Until there is another one, I guess… Vinosource retails for 39 bucks and is available at Sephora.
