FAUX PRODUCT REVIEW 17: BEAUTYBLENDER PRO

unnamedSuccumbing to peer pressure, I bought a beautyblender. I searched through older blog posts because I thought I had used it before but turns out, it was a knockoff…

Nowadays, beautyblender offers more than the original beautyblender. There’s the beautyblender pure, beautyblender red carpet, beautyblender nude, bodyblender, beautyblusher, micro mini and other crap you don’t need. I selected beautyblender pro.

Beautyblender® Pro is the perfect application method for darker-toned products that would be difficult to rinse clean from a lighter colored applicator. Use with complexion products, long-wear makeup, and self-tanners for flawless results. While at Sephora, I read the description of each sponge beautyblender and I selected this one because it mentioned “the perfect application method for darker-toned products.”

Per the directions, I wet the sponge beautyblender, slightly dried the sponge beautyblender, then applied my foundation. After, I looked at my reflection in the mirror for a while. Inner thoughts:

I don’t see the difference, did I waste my money?”

Well, there is kind of a difference…”

My makeup does look evenly applied but it aint all that...”

Makeup still looks good, it’s not fading like it usually does later in the day…”

So do I recommend this sponge? Are you applying your foundation with your fingers? Do you lack the proper tools for the application of foundation? Is the brush or sponge you have on its last leg? Are you a baller, shot caller? If you’ve answered yes, buy it. Retailing for 20 bucks and available at SephoraNote: If the pro isn’t for you, don’t forget there is a boatload of sponges beautyblenders to choose from.

You’re welcome.
