After brunch with friends, we mosied over to Sephora to purchase unnecessary beauty products.
While a friend and I discussed skin products, a Sephora Beauty Adviser was eavesdropping and decided to insert herself into our conversation. I guess it was ok because she was super knowledgable and provided us with samples.
At some point in our conversation, we started talking about face brushes. I informed them that my dream brush was LUNA mini but because I’m sort of…poor, I would wait for Mom or Husband to purchase it for me 😁
As an alternative, she suggested Konjac Cleansing Sponge With Bamboo Charcoal by BOSCIA. For 15 bucks, why not?
Konjac Cleansing Sponge With Bamboo Charcoal cleanses and exfoliates to deliver smoother, softer, brighter-looking skin while minimizing the appearance of pores and eradicating blemish-causing bacteria. Formulated for combination to oily skin, the konjac root absorbs debris and impurities, while the bamboo charcoal acts as a natural anitbacterial agent, to cleanse deeply and detoxify pores without irritation. Gentle enough for even the most sensitive of skin types, it can be used over the face, neck, and even the delicate undereye area. When used regularly, it helps draw out impurities, minimize the appearance of pores, and reduce blemish-causing bacteria.
Oh yeah, it’s free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, blah, blah and blah…
When I first opened the package, I thought it looked like a giant turd with a string attached. Even Husband exclaimed “WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?”
After first usage, my skin felt super clean and smooth! From this little poop-on-a-string? At this point, I’ve used it twice a day for nearly two weeks and love it. Also, it has to be replaced every 3 months. That’s not too bad.
For the turd sponge, shop Sephora.
And, if you haven’t guessed by the pop up box and my posts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and harassing text messages (to my family and friends), I am launching a newsletter. Of course I will discuss the blog, share my favorite articles and podcasts, feature guest bloggers, discuss pop culture and GIVEAWAYS (that you’ll only be eligible for if you’re signed up for the newsletter).
