I’ve always loved nail stickers aka nail wraps aka nail polish strips.  Like most, I started with Sally Hansen’s Nail Stickers. If you haven’t don’t bother, they suck.  My favorites were by OPI for Sephora but some idiot decided to discontinue that collection. Incoco did a great job of filling that void but their designs are limited.  As a result, I decided to shop NCLA. NCLA is a nail fashion line that includes nail lacquers, wraps and treatments. They’re also vegan, non-toxic and 5 free (Formaldehyde, DBP, Toluene, Formaldehyde Resin and Camphor).  Not that any of you care…

I selected Ruby Red and Marquetry. Per Husband’s request, I tried Marquetry first.

So, to the review:  I was super excited to try this.  It even came in the mail sooner than expected (1 point for NCLA).  However, the nail wraps was tough to peel off the sheet (-1 point for NCLA), did not stretch to fit my nail bed (-1 point for NCLA), and was super hard to file (-1 point for NCLA).  I tossed their nail file and used my own (-1 point for NCLA). I did follow directions by applying base and top coats.  I’ve been anxiously watching my nails because they look like their going to peel from the top but so far, so good. Also, you can’t tell that my nail beds aren’t fully covered.

Overall, I give NCLA a C+.  I love their designs, their price is OK ($9) but the process is crap.  I still have another set to try so I will continue to update you.  Would I purchase this again?  Probably.  Like I said, they have cool designs.  If they can last at least 7 days, I guess they’ll have a loyal customer in me. Whatevs!  For more, shop NCLA.

I am 90% done with the new site: Although I will continue to have a presence on Blogger, it will no longer be my main blog *insert tears here* Till then, you know I need friends so like Pink Gumbeaux on Facebook and follow me on Twitter, Instagram and Rabadaba. While you’re at it, check out my last post: The Last Skincare Product Review, Ever.
