For the last few years, I’ve been imagining that my life will change the day I turned 30. That I would finally know who I am, my purpose in life, and what I wanted to be when I grow up. I’ve only been 30 since Monday so I’ll give it a few more days for ALL of these things to kick in…
Regarding my twenties, I think I’ve done pretty well. I got married, laid the foundation for an awesome career, am 85% done with my PhD (I think), adopted a stray cat for 6 months, got only one speeding ticket (which I later got removed from my records), managed to not slap anyone and most importantly, I still have my edges.
If I could go back (which I really wouldn’t because I was poor and barely got out of undergrad), I would’ve done a few things differently:
- Study abroad instead of being so concerned with
- Climbing the
- Saved those refund checks and
- Attempted to socialize a bit more. Key word “bit.” You guys KNOW I’m a stick-in-the-mud.
Any who, I am looking forward to this decade, being more present and living a little. Just a little (see number 4). Cheers!
I am 90% done with the new site: pinkgumbeaux.com. Although I will continue to have a presence on Blogger, it will no longer be my main blog *insert tears here* Till then, you know I need friends so like Pink Gumbeaux on Facebook and follow me on Twitter and Instagram. And, check out my last: The Case of the Bases.
