While watching Own Saturday night, I saw a commercial for Oprah’s Super Soul Sunday which featured Shawn Anchor regarding happiness. So, I timed the episode and watched both parts of the interview. If you get a chance, watch both.
Any who, this prompted me to add Before Happiness to my reading list.
In his international bestseller, The Happiness Advantage , Harvard trained researcher Shawn Achor described why happiness is the precursor to greater success. His latest book, New York Times Bestseller Before Happiness, is about what comes before both.
Before we can be happy or successful, we need to first develop the ability to see that positive change is possible. Only once we learn to see the world through a more positive lens can we summon all our motivation, emotion, and intelligence to achieve our personal and professional goals.
By mastering these strategies, you’ll create an renewable source of positivity, motivation, and engagement that will allow you to reach your fullest potential in everything you do.
If you’re tired of me giving you books to read, follow these simple tips Shawn gave us: Every morning, think about 3 things you’re grateful for (3 different things every morning) and name one special event that occurred over the past 24 hours.
