As some of you know, I went MIA for a few days to focus on my Oral Qualifying Exam. During that week, I probably washed my face once a day and barely got any sleep. For the most part, I didn’t wear makeup but I still needed to wash twice a day because I have super oily skin. By Sunday, I was ready to do some reconstruction which started with finding a mask to remove as much dirt as possible.
By now, you know I’m a Murad addict but I didn’t feel like driving to the mall to pick some up. I also didn’t feel like shelling out 30 bucks or more for a mask (I typically don’t use masks to often). So, while at my local Kroger, I browsed the aisles and ran across old faithful: Neutrogena’s Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask. Prior to these hormonal breakouts I have been experiencing for the last couple of years, all I used was Neutrogena products.
About Clear Pore Cleanser/Mask:
“This dermatologist-tested formula has the acne-fighting power of Benzoyl Peroxide to kill bacteria and treat existing breakouts. Cooling intensity builds as it penetrates deep into pores. Use as a daily cleanser to kill bacteria. Or use as an intensive mask for deep cleansing and extra oil control. Clean rinsing—skin is left clean and smooth.”
So, I lathered the mask on, hopped in a steamy shower (read a little about the benefits of steam, here), removed and went along with my normal wash routine. After, my face was almost a different complexion, lol. It was definitely clean and less irritable.
Of course, Neutrogena products can be found everywhere or you can purchase it from their site, here! It retails for $6.99 on their site, I believe bought mines 20 cents cheaper at Kroger. It’ll probably be the cheapest at Walmart and any dollar stores that carry it.
And an honorable mention goes to Murad’s Instant Radiance Eye Cream! Last Saturday, I looked like SHIT! My eyes were puffy and I had terrible bags (apparently, I must have been carrying my school books in them). I added this cream Friday night, Saturday morning and night and by Sunday, I looked like my old self again 🙂
